Main Character Archetypes
Welcome to the Main Character Archetypes
I’m so happy you have discovered your Main Character Archetype. Did your result surprise you?
For many women, the Archetype they most need and desire in their life is also the one they most ignore or push away - or the one they would never dream of telling anyone else. It is the one they don’t think they have time for or the one that represents something they don’t feel they deserve in some way.
For example, many Luminary women have spent years telling themselves that the beauty they desire is too expensive, too frivolous, too self-indulgent. They ‘make do’ and deny, but something always feels lacking in their life. Once a Luminary steps fully into her Archetype, she feels more alive, and life feels richer and more meaningful. Seekers may long for something new but may also feel anxious about stepping out of their comfort zone or as though the experiences they desire are beyond their reach or capability. Some Seekers would never dream of telling people they long to climb a mountain, sail around the world, go back to school or learn to dance for fear of being ridiculed or told that doesn’t ‘sound like them’. Once they step into their Archetype, they discover adventure everywhere, and their confidence and passion for new experiences grow.
Some women are sure of which Archetype they are and then are surprised to get a different result. For example, an artist or writer may assume they are a Creator but then discover their Main Character Archetype is a Nurturer.
Your Main Character Archetype is not tied to what you do for a living or the life you are currently living.
It is about what your soul most desires for your next chapter. So, you can be a writer living a creative life, but discover you are a Connector. This could lead to joining a writing group or building an online community. An Artist might discover they are a Seeker, and this may lead to a trip to another city to explore the art and architecture or signing up for a class teaching a new technique or style of art.
I created the Main Character Archetypes to help midlife women connect with an energy that inspires and guides them as they design their next chapter with purpose. Each Archetype has its own flavour and essence - a way of approaching life that helps you step forward with confidence and clarity.
On this page, you’ll dive deeper into your own Archetype and also explore the others.
Do I Need to Look at the Other Archetypes?
Your Main Character Archetype is your guiding energy as you begin to design your Next Chapter. But it isn’t the whole story. Most women discover overlaps with other Archetypes, and even women who share the same Archetype will express it in unique ways.
For example:
One Luminary may create beauty through a rustic farmhouse kitchen, fresh garden flowers, and simple elegance, while another may curate a sleek city apartment filled with designer treasures. What unites them is a devotion to beauty and style.
A Seeker might trek mountain trails across the world, while another explores closer to home through new cuisines, weekend trips, or hobbies. Both are following their shared desire for discovery and adventure.
A Connector might weave in the elegance of the Luminary, setting a beautiful table or adding thoughtful touches to gatherings, while a Luminary may also share the Seeker’s adventurous spirit — but she’ll choose experiences that feel elevated, whether that’s a VIP tour or the perfect travel wardrobe.
Your Archetype is the anchor, but your unique expression is what brings it to life. Think of the others as sister energies you can draw on to support your journey and enrich your next chapter.
