Key Developmental Milestones:(4-6)

At this age, early literacy skills like letter recognition, phonics, and basic reading comprehension start taking shape. It is a fun time to read books with your child as they can begin to recognise simple words and enjoy choosing stories to read.

They may also begin to explore more complex emotions, relationships, and problem-solving and become more curious about themselves and the world around them. Books that encourage their questions are always a winner.

This is also the age when many children begin school, and is a big time of change. Books that look at starting school, making friends, and dealing with different emotions are very useful at this time.
