  • Ever wondered what happened to Lydia Bennet (of Pride & Prejudice) after she ran off with the roguish Wickham? If so, you’ll love this funny and feisty imagining by Sarah Page and you’ll never see Lydia in quite the same way again. With multiple voices this is a joy to listen to and perfect for Jane Austen and Bridgerton fans alike. Listen to a sample here

  • Narrated by the wonderful Stephen Fry, this is the perfect audiobook to curl up and listen to, no matter how old you are. It immediately makes you feel like a child being read to again. Harry Potter is one of those comfort reads (or listens), and the tale of Harry, the boy who discovers he is a wizard is always and enters a magical world of discovery, danger and above all friendship is always a pleasure - especially when read by Mr Fry.   • A short but very enjoyable Agatha Raisin cosy mystery narrated by the wonderful Penelope Keith. Agatha decides to host a dinner party for the more senior residents in her village, but things don’t go quite as planned, and a dead body only makes things worse! It’s fun, Christmassy, and it’s beautifully narrated. Listen to a sample here

  • A classic tale of adventure and the prelude to The Lord of the Rings. Discover how reluctant adventurer Bilbo Baggins leaves his cosy hobbit hole and ends up on a journey to face Smaug the Dragon, in the company of Gandalf the Wizard and thirteen dwarves.
