ABOUT JO
Hi, I’m Jo - a coach, book lover, mum of three and new empty nester.
I know what it’s like to prioritise and pour yourself into everyone else, and then reach that moment where everything changes and you wonder: Now what?!
I’m learning to navigate life as an empty-nester after more than two decades as a (mostly) full-time mum. It’s challenging but also exciting, and I’m leaning in to the things that have always helped me: Books, Writing, and the skills I’ve learned through years of Yoga and Coaching.
I don’t believe in hustle culture, miracle cures, or 5 a.m. starts. I do believe in gratitude, kindness, and finding meaning in the middle of life — through reflection, rest, and rediscovering what you love.
If you’re craving calm, perspective, and a space to breathe, you’re in the right place. Together, we’ll read, reflect, and gently realign (once we remember where we put our glasses). No perfection or performance is required here.

I look forward to connecting with you.

WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT ME?
Here are some quick facts to help us get to know each other better…
I am a lover of all things simple, beautiful and cosy - soft jumpers, blankets on the sofa, flowers on the side, reading by the fire, etc.
I have a herbal tea obsession… and when I say obsession, I mean I have a drawer that is dedicated purely to herbal teas!
I’m English, married to a lovely New Zealander I met in Hong Kong, and have 3 children, all in their twenties - 2 living in England and 1 in NZ (yes, that sucks!)
I’m an introvert - and very happy to be one.
I have lived in 7 different countries (so far) and too many houses to count!
I left school at 17 but have never stopped learning. I’m a qualified Life Coach and Yoga Teacher, and over the years have also studied: Maternal Mental Health & Wellbeing, Hypnotherapy, and English Lit + Creative Writing.
I was a (mostly) full-time mum for 26 years, and LOVED IT, so becoming an empty nester has been a big shift for me.
I’m a bookaholic - when I was in early labour with my second child, I paced the floor for several hours while reading The Pelican Brief; both to keep contractions going and to make sure I finished it before she was born!
I was once Enya’s hand double in a music video.
I have chronic headaches, which can make life challenging, and also have a bunch of food allergies - thankfully not chocolate! Or herbal tea!
If I’m at a party, you’ll find me nosing around the host’s bookshelf or cuddling their dog/cat.
My ideal day involves time on my yoga mat, a long walk, and then hot chocolate and a good book.
I also love Autumn, Christmas, the smell of rain, peonies, and laughing - lots!
