I’m a freelance writer, writing coach, and a late-night novelist-in-training, originally from England and currently based in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. I mainly write about parenting, life after 40, and women’s empowerment, amongst other things. I am also madly in love with dogs and chocolate and believe that the answers to everything can be found in a book or by taking a long walk.
When not working on my own writing or supporting my coaching clients with their writing dreams, I’m focusing on finally learning to drive (yes, at 43!), exploring my new surroundings in Hawkes Bay with my kiwi hubby, and spending time with my kids - 2 teenage daughters here with us in NZ, and one son via many, many video-calls to the UK (or wherever his work as an Expedition Leader & Wilderness Medic takes him – yep, I know, he has way more life skills than me!).
I’ve been playing with words and journaling for as long as I can remember and am always happiest with a pen in my hand. I have a diploma in Creative Writing & Children’s Literature and am also a qualified Life Coach, and love combining these skills to mentor and cheerlead women who want to follow their writing dreams. I’ve been writing and blogging online for almost a decade, have written several EBooks, self-published a non-fiction book and have also been published in The Green Parent magazine in the UK.
Please feel free to explore my website and enjoy the resources and articles on offer. If you want help with your own writing goals head over here, and do feel free to get in touch. I do my best to get back to all enquiries within 24 hours but if I don’t get back to you straight away it’s probably because I’m loitering around a book store, writing, or eating gluten-free chocolate brownies somewhere.
