I headed into my kitchen to find out and tried and tested 3 different ways to use chia seeds...
blueberry + lemon chia jam
almond + chia energy balls
overnight vanilla-almond chia breakfast pudding
Now okay, I accept that perhaps my mindset for this one wasn't great, but I felt like I had unwittingly arrived on the set of 'I'm a Celebrity' when I pulled this from the fridge. It looked like frogspawn and whilst the taste wasn't particularly bad the texture was everything I had dreaded. For me this was gag-city BUT if you are a tapioca kinda gal then you will probably go for it like so many other people on the net who rave about it. It was simple to make so probably worth a try but if I ever come for breakfast PLEASE don't make me eat this!!!! 2/10 for this one.
